ABOUT THE COMPOSER

Danny Di Girolamo

Danny Di Girolamo is a conductor and student currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Choral Music Education at Utah Valley University, where he studies with Dr. Reed Criddle and Dr. Cherilyn Worthen. Di Girolamo has felt inspired and encouraged by the Lord to compose arrangements and original works that serve the specific needs and musicians of the Cantata Choir and Orchestra, and in doing so, discovered a deep love for writing music. He approaches composition prayerfully, viewing the creative process as an act of devotion and learning under the guidance of the Master Composer. Each of his works is carefully crafted with the intent to uplift those who hear it and glorify our Heavenly Father.

Danny is also a professional private piano, guitar, and music theory teacher, passionate about mentoring musicians and helping them cultivate their skills.

A lifelong musician, Di Girolamo began conducting choirs alongside his father as a child, cultivating a deep love for choral music. While orchestral conducting is a more recent pursuit, his curiosity and commitment to growth have quickly led him to meaningful conducting opportunities, like founding the Cantata Choir and Orchestra together with his father. He aspires to earn a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Conducting and to devote his professional life to the conductor’s podium.
